Every year we give the opportunity to some of the pupils to go on Dance Tours where they get to do workshops with fantastic choreographers all over the world including New York, Italy, Spain and many more!! But nothing could top our last dance tour where we were invited to perform at Branson, Missouri, America.

BRANSON 2009
After two long years of saving 32 Mandy Ellen performers boarded a plane for an adventure in Branson, Missouri. For a week the pupils were treated to a different show every night after themselves taking to the stage. The pupils had question sessions with performers and then got to see them perform which was a rare treat for the aspiring performers. It wasn't all just about watching the shows though the performers also got the chance to grace the stage as the pre show entertainment which they thoroughly enjoyed.

After working hard the Mandy Ellen performers got to play hard too! The day trip to the huge American theme park was a particular highlight as one student recounts "there were no queue's and we could go on the same rides over and over again!" Another fond memory of their time in America is of the restaurant with singing waiters and personally being served by a former American idol contestant was particularly exciting. However, the one memory that seems to be a firm favourite with all those who attended was the 'Dixie Stampede'. Good old fashioned American entertainment with dinner and a show! Put together by Dolly Parton on her ranch you can imagine how amazing it must have been.

The trip was a complete success and as a result the performers are looking to travel to LA in May 2011 as Mandy Ellen gradually takes over the states and eventually the world!
