Our Teachers



MANDY ELLEN

Mandy is the Principal of the dance school as well as being a full time mum!! She is a qualified dance teacher with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance as well as the International Dance Teachers Association. She is also a fully qualified aerobics, step, body pump, body balance and aqua teacher, and enjoys teaching keep fit in her spare time!! She enjoys teaching a range of dance styles and choreographing competition dances and show pieces. Having taken many dance exams throughout her career, Mandy has decided to take it one step further and is currently training to become an examiner with the International Dance Teachers Association. She is very proud and pleased to having trained students who now work along side her as teachers, which allows further expansion of her successful dance school. Mandy Ellen was lucky enough to achieve her ultimate dream in opening her Performing Arts College at her Dance Studios. This offers dancers the opportunity to train full time to gain their Musical Theatre Diploma and Associate qualifications in different genres of dance.
LORNA THOMAS
Lorna has been dancing with Mandy since the age of 5!!! She now attends Mandy Ellen Performing Arts College and is in her last year of training finishing in July and hopefully wishes to become a professional dancer on a West End stage. Lorna currently teaches for Mandy taking Hip Hop, Tap, Freestyle and Ballet classes.
EMMA WEST
Emma started dancing at the Mandy Ellen School of Dance over 4 years ago and is the Head Teacher at College as well as the Dance School. She teaches numerous genres of dance including ballet, tap and modern.

Emma has been dancing since she was three and during her career has performed on cruise ships as well as dancing roles in the West End. She has recently performed as part of the 'Hot Honeyz' in the Live Semi Finals of Britains Got Talent on ITV1.

JADE DOIG
Jade now teaches full time for Mandy having successfully completed her training at Mandy Ellen Performing Arts College. She has obtained her Musical Theatre Diploma as well as eight teaching qualifications in different genres of dance.

Jade is a talented performer and teacher and is delighted to be given the opportunity to teach to the pupils of the Dance School.

HARRY SHORT
Harry is currently in his first year of training at Mandy Ellen Performing Arts College. He specialises in Hip Hop and currently teaches our Boys Hip Hop crews consisting of around 50 boys.
MARIA MAZZONE
Maria has been teaching with us since September 2009. She trained at Performers College in Essex under the direction of Brian Rogers. Maria specialises in Jazz and Street and currently teaches our Street classes at the Dance School.
Heather Broderick
After graduating from university Heather came to Mandy Ellen to finish her dance training at the professional college. Since leaving college, Heather has had a number of professional roles as a singer and continues to pursue her dream but returns to Mandy's to teach singing as it is such a pleasure to teach such enthusiastic and talented pupils.
